The word organization means a group of people that have come together to perform a particular task. An organization consists of individuals. In an organization, an individual is of little or no importance. He has to leave his interests behind for the sake of the organization he is working for. For the efficient functioning of an organization, the interest of the organization is of utmost importance and on the priority chart, it always has to be above the interest of a particular individual. For an organization, it is all about working in groups. A man needs to be social for him to fit properly into the organizational environment as it involves lots of interaction with other people.

Every individual can do most things on his own. Things become easier when a person is working on his own because he has no one to listen to or clarify anything. But in some such cases, the output is not always optimum. On the other hand, while working in a group, several brains are working on the same idea and as a result of this, you get to know of different perspectives about a single thing. This tends to widen the scope of the thought process and as a result the occurrence of an optimum result has a higher probability.

A real test of character for a person is when he is working in an organization. While working in an organization, a person cannot have his own word every time. A discussion is carried out and the best result is picked up. Even if a particular person is not satisfied with the outcome of the discussion he has to learn to accept it as it is for the interest of the organization and not for the interest of the individual. In an organization, while a person gets to propose his ideas, he even has to listen to what others have proposed. A person with good organization behavior is bound to succeed in life as he has now learnt the art of convincing the people about his ideas and at the same time his communication skills have gone to a higher level. Working in groups in an organization really gets the best out of you.

A person with selfish motives cannot survive in an organizational environment. Organization behavior is all about thinking only about the organization and working only for the organization. In order to survive in an organization, a person needs to have a more liberal outlook.
